Michael took his work test this past week and treated himself to a much deserved mini vacation. He took off Thursday and Friday- we had a wonderful time hanging out as a family for a couple days before we headed down to Indy & Bloomington...more about that later.
We were both able to go to Grace's 4 month wellness check. I am so grateful Michael genuinely likes to be involved with Grace, including her doctor appointments. It was especially nice having him there this time because they were behind schedule. Our appointment was at 3:30 and we didn't see the doctor until 4:20. We made the most of it and Grace was in a very fun mood. We even pulled out the FlipVideo because we thought she was going to roll over from her back to tummy for her first time.
We love our pediatrician- she always makes us feel like she has time for us, and she may have even talked to Grace more than us. Grace was extremely talkative and smiley with her pediatrician. Dr. T. was so impressed with her. She said she was glad she heard Grace say "Wa" because if she didn't hear it herself she would have never believed it. Babies typically don't blend consonants with their vowel sounds until 6-9 months.
She told us between this appointment and her 6 mo appointment, Grace will learn how to sit up on her own which also means she will be able to fall more on her own. We discussed her sleeping patterns and Dr. T. told us to continue watching her natural schedule and by the timne she is 6 months she will have more than likely developed her routine. Grace isn't much of a napper during the day, but she typically sleeps from 6:30 PM-7:15 AM. Dr. T. isn't worried about her napping habits since she gets the recommended amount of sleep (13 hours) at night! Grace sure is spoiling us!
Grace weighs 11.4 pounds and 23.4 inches long. She is in the 10th percentile for both her weight and height.
These videos are so cute!!!! She looks so happy :)
