Happy 1st Halloween! We cannot wait to trick-or-trick next year somewhere fun in Chicago like Lincoln Park Zoo or possibly even in someone's cozy neighborhood in one of the suburbs. You received an adorable pre-Halloween email from Uncle Matthew and Aunt Susan with the below picture included. This Halloween you love playing with your bat finger puppet book from Grammie Mo and Grandpa Den. For your Halloween costume we bought you a traditional German (technically Austrian) dress. And you can't forget the baby's 1st Halloween bib and onesie.
Love, Mummy
'Dear Grace, Happy early Halloween. Love, Uncle Matthew and Aunt Susan'... Haha...they dressed up as one of your favorite foods to eat.
"The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout..."Thanks for the shirt, Uncle Matt.
Baby's first Halloween. You were more interested in checking out and the eating the pumpkin than you were at Daddy's attempt at a photo shoot.
What? I'm not supposed to put this pumpkin in my mouth? But the stem feels so good against my teeth!
Over the weekend, Michael and I went out to a proper costume party. After receiving a recommendation to a costume shop in Covent Garden, Michael fought the crowd early in the morning to pick out our costumes. Mrs. Captain America was escorted to the party by Maverick from Top Gun. On our way to the party and as we were checking out everyone else's costumes we noticed a common theme... In London they do similar types of costumes as we do back home in Chicago (okay everywhere else we know in the States too), but you're also dead. For example, there was a naughty nurse at the party with her throat slit and a dirty cop with a bullet through her head. The fabulous hostess, Susie, was kind enough to take care of Mrs. Captain America. Thanks for such a fun evening out. The food, drinks, games and decorations made the perfect Halloween party.
If you can't beat em...join em...
When in Rome...
(apologies for the end of night photo. I just had to include it. Check out my bruised face and everything!)
One last bit of Halloween fun- check out these kids' reactions to their parents pretending to eat their Halloween candy. Watch the entire thing because the 2 brothers at the end were the best. Grace, if you don't behave...beware because you Father and I thought this was so funny tears were coming out of our eyes as we cracking up. Enjoy!
