Apple man

Materials:
red, green, white and brown construction paper
2 googlie eyes
glue stick

What adult does:
Using red construction paper, cut a round circle for the body and 4 long narrow strips for the arms and legs. Cut 2 smaller white circles for the eyes, 2 green leaves and 1 brown stem. Accordion fold the arms and legs. For letter reinforcement write 'Aa' on the back of apple man.

What kiddo does:
With my help, Grace was able to place some of the pieces at the location of her choice. She still needs a lot of my support with the glue stick and she wasn't in the mood to place the arms and legs, but the rest was her. Hence, apple man's face.
We did this craft a couple weeks ago at Grace's Patti's toddler class. It's still on our fridge and she loves taking it off to show people her "app." I'm actually surprised he's not ripped in half at this point.

We're going to do this again in October, but this time it's going to
be an orange pumpkin.

My daughter's age at time of project: 21 mo.
