The day after our big family wedding, we had an intimate family birthday celebration for you. I snuck out during the week to Babies 'R Us with your Grandma Patti and Uncle Matthew. It was so fun watching your uncle pick out the perfect gifts for you. I kept reminding him that our suitcase was only so big, but he was excited and almost gitty about getting you things that reminded him of his childhood. Enjoy!

So many gifts filled Grandma and Papa's house that day. The newlyweds opened their gifts first. Then you opened yours. How cute is the bday bib the Weinheimers found for you?
Out of all your bday gifts, the only one which didn't make it back to London was the popper. You wouldn't know it, because I've tucked them away and have introduced them to you one at a time on rainy days.

The love for you was felt by everyone who was able to be there. Since it was the day after the family wedding, we were blessed to have Patti and Greg Weinheimer, the Traynors and Gigi and Papa Ray with us. Of course your Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles wouldn't have missed it for the world either- even if it was a last minute celebration thrown together right before we left the States.
Grace, you have introduced a new kind of joy into our lives this year. You challenge us to be more openminded, relaxed and appreciative. We are cherishing every moment we have with you and cannot wait to see what your 2nd year of life has in store for us all. xoxo
