Who gets not only one birthday celebration, but two for her 1st birthday? A little girl who is blessed to have good friends who genuinely wanted to celebrate her first year of life.
You were blessed with friends near and far for your party. Mr. and Mrs. Miller arrived in London from Chicago the morning of your party and were there for the entire thing. The Blossoms and Harts wouldn't have missed it either. It was so fun having all of them and the 4 boys there for you. Those boys have been wonderful playmates, role models and positive influences on you these past 6 months. They will truly be missed by all the Nierengartens when we move back home in February. :(
A special thanks goes out to the Blossoms for allowing us to host your party at their house. We literally wouldn't have been able to do this at our teeny, tiny flat.
Future note to self: even though serving pancakes and scrambled eggs for brunch sounds easy, it really wasn't. Next time it will be worth the cost to just buy something pre-made so I am able to enjoy the great company. It would have been interesting to see how long it took without Ms. Alana's help with everything.
Happy 1st birthday, Grace Elizabeth. Enjoy!
Love, MummyWas this happy birthday take 1 or take 2? You know you're surrounded by other parents (who also have grandparents anxiously awaiting back in the States during special events) when they are the ones to encourage a double take for pictures and video purposes only.
Tyler and Coltan were very excited to help open your gifts.
"A toast (Thompson family style) to our friends far and near. To your Daddy and me for making it through this adventurous year with you. And of course to you, the very special birthday girl. Cheers!"
